In the 18th century, George Washington celebrated Christmas with his family at Mount Vernon. From his diaries, we know that the family attended either Pohick Church in Lorton, Virginia or Christ Church in Old Town Alexandria on Christmas Day.
The cylinder tree ornament is 4” x 2“, has a 4” red ribbon for hanging. The ornament comes in an attractive deep red keepsake box with gold-stamped lettering and a provenance card.
